On the 19th January the West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner is welcoming you to his annual Business Summit. It’s a time for the region’s companies, big and small, to come together to reflect on the significant challenges we all faced in 2020 and to pool ideas and share best practise for the year ahead. Covid restrictions continue to dictate our lives and disrupt the economy in a way we haven’t seen before. Business crime too has changed significantly.
Whilst the event will be online, it promises the usual high quality debate and a sharing of ideas through an interactive online platform. Delegates will hear about how business crime changed at the start of 2020 and what the National Business Crime Centre did to protect companies. We will also hear from the leader of the Midlands Confederation of British Industry (CBI) and the Development Manager of Staffordshire and West Midlands Federation of small businesses (FSB) who will look at which sectors are shrinking, which are growing, adapting and relocating. We want business representatives to take advantage of the Question and Answer panel and to pose questions to West Midlands Police and discuss their own experiences of the last year.
The event will be hosted by Deputy PCC Waheed Saleem who will focus on business crime and the part businesses can play in the West Midland’s recovery.
We look forward to welcoming you for a most informative evening.
