Reason for Authority (Brief Summary for Publication)
Overnight on the 12th November 2018 and 13th November 2018, West Midlands Police received 12 calls from members of the public in relation to up to 4 different incidents in a small area of BALSALL HEATH, BIRMINGHAM, all incidents involved spontaneous violence involving weapons and firearms.
In total 3 calls were received from members of the public stating they heard gunfire (Moseley Road / Runcorn Road). A further 8 calls reported incidents of disorder with weapons been used; weapons used include machetes, hammers, knifes and bricks. A number of vehicles were attacked and at least 1 male was taken to hospital with head injuries.
