Officers are using Section 60 powers in parts of #Birmingham tonight until 7am tomorrow morning (17 July).
The order which started this evening (16 July), covers Bordesley Green and Alum Rock, and gives us the power to stop and search people we suspect may be involved in violence, without the need to have reasonable grounds.
The Section 60 is in place after a number of incidents of violence, including firearms offences, over the past few days.
