Two incidents in the past few hours have highlighted the carrying of knives within the city centre where a knife has been presented or used against our public. Incident: Stabbing 13-year-old child “The Ramp” (BWFA) Log: 3563 Time/Date: 1630hrs 18th January 2023 Location: Stephenson Place, Birmingham City Centre Summary:  A 13-year-old boy was stabbed in Stephenson Place in the city centre. Not life threatening. Incident: Robbery Log: 3446 Time/Date: 1916hrs 18/01/22 Location: Moor street, Birmngham,  (BWFA) Summary:  Group of young men have approached male, and threatened violence. Knives seen. Male has had personal property stolen.

Number of Stop/Searches Carried Out Under the Authority
  No further violence recorded during s60 period Group of males encountered at 2015 hrs, five arrested suspicion of robbery in Cherry street (city centre) Witness identified group sec 1 pace powers used. Stolen items recovered from one of males form a prior a robbery that evening.        
Outcomes of those Stop/Searches
  Further application for sec 60 made 19th January, number of outstanding offenders from initial stabbing.
