Praising the courage of those that responded to the WW2 bomb incident in Aston, West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner David Jamieson said,

“I am pleased that the situation was safely dealt with and would like to pay tribute to the courage of the police officers and all those involved.

“Our officers always prepared to tackle hazardous and dangerous incidents.

“There are always ways that the agencies can improve on the response and the co-ordination and that is something that we will be looking closely at.”
