The West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner is aware of video footage that has been posted to social media, that shows a man being restrained by officers.
Having seen the video, David Jamieson, said: “When I viewed the footage I, like most people, was shocked by what I saw.
“However, I can confirm that a formal process has begun which will establish the facts surrounding this incident.
“Footage from body cameras, worn by officers at the scene, is being reviewed.
“I will be monitoring the situation extremely closely and will require a full explanation from West Midlands Police once all the facts are understood.”
