Voluntary sector organisations that support the victims of crime can attend a funding advice workshop hosted by West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner.

The session will see experts from the PCC’s office explain the funding process and offer guidance on completing applications.

The PCC has responsibility for commissioning support services for victims of crime and funding is available via his Victims Fund.

The funding advice workshop will take place on April 11 and there will be two sessions: one in the morning and one in the afternoon. It is open to voluntary and community groups that support victims and help in their recovery. Groups can apply for grants of up to £15,000.

Experts will explain the following:

  • Differences between outputs and outcomes
  • Financial information and monitoring
  • Evidencing need
  • Collaborative working
  • Quarterly monitoring returns
  • Explaining your project

There will also be discussions and Q&A sessions.
