The West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner, David Jamieson said:

“Should a public enquiry into the Birmingham Pub Bombings go ahead we will work and cooperate with any proceedings.

“West Midlands Police has an active investigation into this atrocity working to bring people to justice for the evil and cowardly acts on that day in 1974.

“On this anniversary my thoughts are with those affected by this terrorist attack, especially the families of those who lost their lives. The Chief Constable and I remain fully committed to catching those who carried out the heinous attacks on 21st November 1974 and bringing those responsible to justice.”
